Overview
Speech Language Pathologist – Long Island, NY
Base Pay Range $60.00/hr – $70.00/hr
Location Long Island, NY (Nassau & Suffolk Counties)
Role Description Provide pediatric therapy services and/or evaluations to children aged birth – 21 years in natural and community settings. Collaborate with families, clinical supervisors, and administrative staff to implement individualized therapy plans.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct evaluations and provide pediatric therapy services to children 0–21 years.
Educate families and caregivers on intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement.
Work in diverse settings: client homes, daycare centers, preschools, clinics, and community settings.
Follow individualized therapy plans, document progress, and prepare progress reports.
Maintain child records and ensure confidentiality (HIPAA, state, federal regulations).
Requirements
NYS Licensed Speech Language Pathologist.
Passion for working with children and families.
Self‑motivated, team player, professional, patient.
Fluency in a language other than English is a plus.
Physical Requirements
Travel to and from assigned cases; may use personal vehicle, public transport.
Ascend and descend staircases; lift 10 pounds regularly.
Sit on floor, kneel, crawl for extended periods.
