Job Description

The key responsibilities of the Production Manager are:
  • Oversee daily production activities to meet output, quality, and efficiency targets
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Coordinate with supervisors, maintenance, quality, and logistics teams to optimize operations
  • Manage labor planning, shift transitions, and inventory levels
  • Support union relations and help resolve grievances constructively
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives
  • Provide accurate production reporting and analysis using internal systems
  • Train, motivate, and develop team members to meet operational goals
  • Collaborate with sales and order desk to align production with customer demand
  • Maintain strong communication across all levels of the organization

The Successful Applicant

A successful Production Manager should have:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing leadership role
  • College education or equivalent; technical background preferred
  • Strong organizational, planning, and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in production software and reporting tools
  • Experience working in a unionized environment
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and lean manufacturing principles
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Able to work occasional Saturday when required.
