Description Our recruiting firm is partnering with a growing small business to hire an Accounting Manager who will oversee day-to-day accounting operations and support leadership with accurate financial insights. This is a hands-on Accounting Manager role ideal for someone who enjoys the variety and impact that comes with working in a smaller business environment. About the Accounting Manager Role: The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing the full accounting cycle, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and providing timely reporting to support decision-making. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can balance daily tasks with bigger-picture financial management. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations including A/P, A/R, payroll, and general ledger
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Manage cash flow and support budgeting/forecasting processes
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable tax requirements
- Partner with leadership to analyze financial performance and recommend improvements
- Supervise and support accounting staff (if applicable)
- Direct impact on the growth and success of a small but thriving business

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance preferred but NOT REQUIRED
- 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Experience in a small business environment preferred-must be comfortable with a hands-on role
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
