Description A leading national manufacturer is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee accounting operations and provide financial leadership. This hands-on role will be responsible for leading the month-end close, preparing financial statements, analyzing variances, and ensuring proper internal controls. The position requires a strong technical accounting background, cost accounting experience, and the ability to collaborate across departments and levels of the organization to drive performance and compliance. Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounting operations including accounts payable, general ledger, treasury management, and fixed assets.
- Lead month-end close processes and prepare financial statements and operational reports.
- Analyze variances, explain results to management, and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor and enforce internal controls in alignment with corporate policies.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and statutory reporting requirements.
- Oversee sales and use tax filings, as well as reporting for affiliated entities and consolidated financials.
- Serve as primary contact for external audits (financial, 401k, insurance).
- Collaborate with leadership to align financial management with corporate objectives and improve site performance.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
- 7+ years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Proficiency with MS Office; SAP experience highly desirable.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work across teams and levels of the organization.
