Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to oversee and manage the complete accounting cycle for our organization. Based in Mesquite, Texas, this role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in financial operations and leadership. The ideal candidate will have expertise in full-cycle accounting, team management, and proficiency in accounting software systems. Responsibilities:
- Oversee and ensure the accuracy of full-cycle accounting processes, including month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash transactions.
- Manage and lead a team of accounting staff, providing mentorship and fostering an environment of collaboration and efficiency.
- Utilize NetSuite as the preferred ERP system to streamline accounting operations and reporting.
- Perform detailed financial reconciliations to ensure compliance and accuracy in all accounts.
- Review and approve journal entries to maintain the integrity of financial data.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial processes and resolve any discrepancies.
- Analyze financial data and prepare reports to assist in strategic decision-making.
- Lead audits and ensure all documentation is accurate and readily available.
- Evaluate and improve accounting workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Requirements - Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with demonstrated expertise in full-cycle accounting processes.
- Proven ability to manage and lead a team of 3-5 accounting professionals.
- Proficiency in NetSuite and other accounting software systems.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Experience with ERP systems, such as NetSuite, and financial tools like BlackLine and Concur.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with auditing processes and maintaining compliance standards.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
