Director of Accounting Job at Century Group in Los Angeles

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Director of Accounting to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $140,000 to $180,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities:

• Direct and oversee accounting services for various entities including corporations, partnerships, LLCs, trusts, and individuals.
• Review financial records and prior tax returns to determine appropriate forms and reporting requirements.
• Perform technical reviews of transactional accounting and financial statements for accuracy and compliance.
• Meet with clients via video, phone, or in-person to discuss financial matters and provide guidance.
• Collaborate with Partners and Managers to ensure high-quality client service and financial planning.

Requirements:

• Demonstrate a strong willingness to learn new technical subject areas and apply them effectively.
• Maintain accurate daily time sheets and meet the firm's annual billable hour goal.
• Show a strong commitment to client confidentiality and professional ethics.
• Manage multiple tasks and clients independently while maintaining high standards.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate clearly in both written and verbal formats.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field; a CPA is strongly preferred.
• 6+ years of experience in accounting and finance, with supervisory experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting tools.
• Work efficiently as a quick learner and collaborative team player.
