Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join our team in Sacramento, California. - Prepare and file legal documents electronically, ensuring accuracy and compliance with court requirements.
- Manage court filings and deadlines to maintain timely submissions.
- Coordinate and maintain attorneys' calendars, including scheduling meetings, hearings, and appointments.
- Transcribe dictation to draft legal correspondence and documents.
- Act as a point of contact for communication with courts, clients, and other legal professionals.
- Organize and maintain physical and digital case files for easy access and reference.
- Conduct basic research to support legal proceedings and document preparation.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and document distribution.
- Monitor changes in court procedures and ensure adherence to updated filing protocols. Requirements - Proven experience as a Legal Secretary or in a similar legal administrative role.
- Proficiency in e-filing and electronic court filings.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple calendars effectively.
- Excellent dictation and transcription abilities.
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and legal professionals.
