Description We are looking for a skilled Legal Secretary to join our team on a contract basis in Orlando, Florida. In this role, you will provide vital legal and administrative support to attorneys and paralegals, ensuring the smooth preparation, organization, and management of legal documents and processes. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in commercial real estate and possess exceptional organizational and communication skills. Responsibilities:
- Prepare, organize, and manage a variety of legal documents, including contracts, leases, loan agreements, affidavits, and resolutions.
- Conduct legal research and compile information to support attorneys and paralegals in their cases and projects.
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, closings, and other events related to legal processes.
- Maintain and organize legal files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
- Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the legal team.
- Review, track, and verify legal descriptions and data to ensure compliance with required processes.
- Draft routine correspondence and transcribe dictation efficiently and accurately.
- Screen and direct phone calls, take detailed messages, and arrange conference calls as needed.
- Assist with due diligence efforts by analyzing and summarizing confidential data.
- Perform additional administrative tasks as assigned to support the overall workflow. Requirements - High school diploma or equivalent education; additional legal or administrative training is a plus.
- At least three years of experience in a legal or administrative role, with a preference for commercial real estate expertise.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe software.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Familiarity with legal research and document preparation processes.
