Mechanical Structural Engineer
with a strong background in offshore oil & gas or marine engineering design and delivery projects. This role will focus on the design and analysis of complex mooring and lifting systems, mechanical systems, delivering innovative solutions that support safe and reliable offshore operations. Key Responsibilities Lead the
structural and mechanical design
of offshore systems, with a focus on mooring and lifting equipment. Perform
detailed analysis and FEA
using ANSYS, including static and dynamic simulations for strength, fatigue, and stability. Utilize
SolidWorks
to develop 3D models, assemblies, and detailed engineering drawings. Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure design compliance with industry standards and client requirements. Support design reviews, prepare technical reports, and present engineering findings to stakeholders. Provide engineering expertise through all phases of the project lifecycle, from concept to fabrication and installation. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree
in Mechanical OR Structural Engineering (or related field). 5+ years of experience in a design engineering role within the
offshore oil & gas, marine, or heavy equipment industry . Strong hands-on expertise in
SolidWorks
for mechanical and structural design. Proficiency in
ANSYS
(or similar FEA tools) for detailed stress, fatigue, and structural analysis. Background in
mooring systems, lifting equipment, or heavy offshore structures
is highly desirable. Familiarity with applicable offshore codes, standards, and practices (API, ABS, DNV, ISO, etc.). Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, project-driven environment. Seniority level:
