Summary Seeking an individual to join our Automation Engineering team. This group focuses on supporting our manufacturing plant with the latest in automated manufacturing equipment. We are looking for candidates that have a passion for solving problems and that enjoy hands‑on work.
Qualifications
Pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field
Ability to develop creative solutions to difficult problems
Mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail
MS Office experience (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Responsibilities
Creation of electrical schematics and panel layout drawings for industrial manufacturing equipment
Wiring of electrical panels
Selection of components such as actuators, control system hardware and sensors
PLC programming and troubleshooting
Industrial and cobot robotic programming and teaching
Test running and troubleshooting of automated machinery
Sensor testing and evaluation
Light mechanical design work and solid modeling
Assembly of systems using hand tools
Light fabrication using power tools such as drills, grinders, saws
Working Conditions In addition to being able to sit, stand, climb, walk, read, talk, see and hear, an individual must be able to:
Perform office work requiring sitting at the computer and other administration duties
Walk on flat or uneven surfaces
Bend, stoop, and work from just above the ground to 6‑foot elevation
Use stairs and ladders for elevated work
Lifting 5–15 lbs daily and 15–45 lbs intermittently
