We are currently seeking a skilled Locum MD or DO specializing in Pediatrics. As a Locum Medical Doctor, you will play a crucial role in providing temporary medical services to our clients. Your expertise in Pediatrics will be vital in ensuring the well-being of young patients and contributing to the overall success of our healthcare projects. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on diverse medical cases, gain valuable experience, and make a difference in the lives of children. Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough examinations of pediatric patients and accurately diagnose their conditions. Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans for children with various medical needs. Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes. Educate patients and their families on preventive healthcare measures and treatment options. Maintain detailed and accurate medical records of all pediatric cases. Stay updated on the latest advancements in pediatric medicine and incorporate best practices into clinical work. Adhere to all relevant medical protocols, regulations, and ethical standards. Provide guidance and support to junior medical staff and interns. Requirements:
Medical degree (MD or DO) with specialization in Pediatrics. Valid license to practice as a Medical Doctor or Osteopathic Doctor. Prior experience working in a clinical setting, preferably in pediatrics. Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to develop effective treatment plans. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for interacting with patients and their families. Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with healthcare professionals. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate medical records. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of pediatric medicine. Schedule: 24-hour call, 8a-8a Daily Volume: 3-4 newborns, 0-1 pediatrics Patient Population: 90% newborn, 5% pediatric, 5% adolescent Circumcisions required Must be able to interpret x-rays EMR: Epic Must be board-certified or board-eligible Paid travel & expenses
