We are currently seeking a skilled Locum MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Pediatrics. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing temporary medical services to patients in need within Clarendon SC. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the well‑being and health of young patients, making a significant impact on the community's healthcare.
As a Locum MD or DO in Pediatrics, you will be involved in a variety of projects ranging from routine check‑ups to diagnosing and treating illnesses in children and adolescents. Your role will be essential in delivering high‑quality medical care, building strong patient relationships, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals. Responsibilities
Conduct thorough examinations of pediatric patients and accurately interpret diagnostic tests.
Develop and implement treatment plans for various pediatric conditions.
Provide guidance and support to patients' families regarding their child's health and well‑being.
Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and other medical professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
Maintain detailed and accurate medical records for all patients.
Stay updated on the latest advancements in pediatric medicine and incorporate best practices into patient care.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment plans.
Adhere to all medical and ethical standards set forth by regulatory bodies.
Requirements
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
Board certification in Pediatrics.
Valid state medical license to practice in South Carolina.
Proven experience working in a pediatric setting, handling a wide range of medical conditions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and their families.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Dedication to providing compassionate and comprehensive care to pediatric patients.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medical documentation.
Schedule: 24‑hour nursery call coverage
Patient Volume: 2‑3 per day
Must be comfortable attending C‑sections
Circumcisions required
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
