We are currently seeking a skilled Locum MD (Medical Doctor) specializing in Pediatrics. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing temporary medical services to pediatric patients. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the well‑being and health of young patients, making a significant impact on their lives and the community. You will be involved in a variety of pediatric projects, contributing to the overall success of our healthcare initiatives. Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough examinations of pediatric patients and accurately diagnose their conditions. Develop and implement treatment plans for children with various medical needs. Prescribe medications and monitor their effectiveness on young patients. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to pediatric patients. Educate patients and their families on preventive healthcare measures and treatment options. Maintain detailed and accurate medical records of all pediatric cases. Stay updated on the latest advancements in pediatric medicine and incorporate best practices into daily routines. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment strategies. Requirements:
Medical degree and valid MD license to practice as a Pediatrician. Demonstrated experience working in a pediatric setting, handling a wide range of medical conditions. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with pediatric patients and their families. Ability to work well under pressure and make sound decisions in emergency situations. Excellent organizational skills to manage a busy caseload and prioritize tasks efficiently. Compassionate and empathetic approach towards pediatric patients and their families. Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems for documentation. Willingness to adhere to all ethical and legal standards in pediatric healthcare. Schedule: 24‑hour call shifts, 7 days per month Level II nursery Patient Census: 2-3 per day Duties: Attend vaginal deliveries if requested, attend scheduled and emergent c‑sections, admit/discharge newborns, admit/care for pediatric patients, and perform procedures Required Procedures: Circumcisions, newborn resuscitation/intubations/UVC, lumbar punctures Support Staff: Nurses, anesthesia, OB/GYNs, respiratory therapists, and local pediatricians EMR: Meditech Must be board-certified or board-eligible Paid travel & expenses
