Role Overview

The Engineering Management Associate will play a critical role in supporting APL Engineering’s monitoring and executive reporting needs. This position is ideal for candidates who have hands-on experience in business analysis, management support, and reporting within a dynamic engineering environment. The associate will work closely with the APL engineering leadership, collecting, analyzing, and presenting key business and operational metrics for executive decision-making. Key Responsibilities

Assist in preparing regular executive reports summarizing project status, operational metrics, financials, and strategic initiatives for APL engineering leadership. Gather, validate, and analyze data from various internal systems and teams to ensure accuracy and relevance in executive-level reporting. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and business analysts to understand ongoing projects and translate technical information into concise business summaries. Support preparation of presentations, dashboards, and other visual tools for communicating engineering performance and progress to senior stakeholders. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to APL engineering and identify trends, risks, and opportunities based on data analysis. Maintain reporting templates, documentation best practices, and version controls for all reporting materials. Respond to ad-hoc reporting requests from senior management and ensure timely and professional delivery. Provide administrative support for executive meetings, including agenda creation, minute taking, and follow-up actions related to reporting. This role is embedded in the APL engineering department and will collaborate across technical and business teams. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering Management, or a related field. 3+ years experience in business analysis, reporting, or executive support. Experience working with or supporting technology or engineering teams. Strong analytical skills and familiarity with reporting tools (Excel, PowerPoint; exposure to BI platforms like Tableau or Power BI preferred). Proficient in JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools. Basic understanding of project management concepts and engineering workflows. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex topics in a clear, concise manner. Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. Proficiency in using AI tools to drive data collection and analysis. Comfort working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Good organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Preferred Skills

Familiarity with Financial Services Technology Growth Opportunities
