JOB SUMMARY
Performs a wide range of preventive, repair, and facilities maintenance tasks on the building, equipment, and grounds to retain assigned facility in an acceptable state. Skilled trade work includes carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and lock‑smith duties. Additional duties include maintaining and repairing kitchen equipment, assembling furniture, assisting with quarterly technical testing of equipment and inspection of facilities, submitting work order requests, following up on outstanding work, and ensuring that grounds and exterior areas are maintained in excellent condition.
RESPONSIBILITIES Lead assists the Facility Manager with the work order system and preventative maintenance program. Performs lead activities in regard to maintenance engineering staff and assists with maintaining records, planning, and scheduling of all work on buildings, equipment, grounds, and general maintenance tasks. Requires knowledge of the policies, procedures, and equipment applicable to the work unit at appointment.
Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on all mechanical/electrical equipment, including boilers, emergency generators, HVAC, and related equipment in a quality and timely manner.
Performs a variety of building maintenance tasks to include the skilled trades as required (e.g., carpentry, painting, plumbing).
Completes and maintains accurate records and logs.
Tests and evaluates equipment prior to putting it into service.
Orders and receives parts and materials to make necessary repairs on related equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS Education / Work Experience One year of relevant work experience in the core level of the job family, or any combination of experience or education that would demonstrate the ability to perform the duties of the position.
Additional Certification If located at SCH or SFH, must have and maintain a third‑class boiler operator’s license or be able to obtain a third‑class boiler operator’s license within nine months of date of hire. Second‑class license is preferred.

PAY RANGE $25.25 – $36.61 / hour
