Position Summary: Walmart Healthcare Research Institute (WHRI) helps communities Live Better and Save Money by increasing access to healthcare through research. Join us to lead the development of studies and clinical epidemiologic outcomes research in a Fortune 1 environment. This position is on-site at our Bentonville, AR offices and reports to the Senior Director of Research Operations & Regulatory Controls.
What you’ll do:
Epidemiological, Health services, & Outcomes-Based Research: Deliver highly experienced strategic input, support, and leadership to evidence generation within late-stage pharmaceutical development.
Clinical Design: Provide innovative thinking for the design of clinical and epidemiological outcomes research programs and commercialization opportunities.
Develop and Implement RWE Standards: Set standards for the utilization of real‑world evidence and provide methodological leadership and input to real‑world evidence strategies.
Research Insights: Deliver business value by translating complex data into meaningful insights.
Develop and Implement Strategies: User expertise to provide strategic guidance to the Walmart Healthcare Research Team and Walmart Health and Wellness.

What you’ll bring:
Deep RWE and Epidemiology Experience: Proven Real-World Evidence experiences in designing and executing RWE studies.
Relationship Management: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain high-level internal and external relationships within Pharmaceutical Sponsors and Clinical Research Organizations (CROs).
Data Analysis and Interpretation: Skill in extracting insights from real-world data (RWD) through statistical analysis, summarization, visualization, and presentation of results, with a proven record of effectively communicating findings to inform business decisions.
Stakeholder Management: Collaborative spirit to effectively partner within Walmart ecosystem of product, data, and tech product managers.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree in epidemiology, public health, outcome research, or related area.
Prior work experience in clinical and commercial drug development processes.
Prior work experience in the pharmaceutical industry or in closely related academic epidemiological/outcomes research.
Prior work experience in secondary data.
Prior work experience in epidemiological/outcomes research (e.g., design, execution, and publication of original research relevant to drug discovery and development or commercialization in peer‑reviewed journal).
Preferred Qualifications:
Doctoral degree in relevant or related area.
Emerging recognition by the external scientific communities as an expert in the application of epidemiology/outcomes research to areas relevant to drug development and commercialization.
Prior work experience conducting primary data collection studies.
Prior work experience in client‑facing role.
