Senior Litigation Associate Attorney
– Practice Area: Commercial Litigation – Location: Las Vegas, NV - Onsite – Salary: $240,000 - $265,000 – Schedule: 1,850 minimum billable requirement, 3/2 hybrid schedule. Responsibilities
Independently manage a diverse caseload of commercial litigation matters from inception to resolution.
Handle all phases of discovery, including complex electronic discovery.
Draft and argue a wide range of legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, memoranda of law, and appellate briefs.
Prepare and examine witnesses for depositions and trial; possess proven courtroom presence.
Collaborate with a highly-skilled legal team to provide strategic counsel to a varied portfolio of clients.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school with preferably some demonstrated academic achievement or extracurriculars.
7-10 years of experience in general commercial litigation, preferably with some trial experience or in mediations and arbitrations.
Licensed to practice law in the State of Nevada or having recently taken the bar, or willing to take the bar to obtain admission.
Preferred Skills
Exceptional research and writing skills demonstrated by law school publications, live work product or opinion articles.
Prior experience in a federal clerkship or as a judicial law clerk.
A collaborative mindset and highly motivated work ethic.
Experience in a large law firm setting.
