Elevator Controls – Senior Human Resources Generalist
Position Type: Regular Full-Time
Reports to: Senior Manager, Human Resources
Base Location: Sacramento, CA

We are searching for one results‑oriented Senior Human Resources Generalist to join our Elevator Controls Manufacturing Team at Vantage Elevation. Vantage Elevation, LLC is North America’s leading independent manufacturer of elevator components and systems. Vantage is comprised of eight business units including GAL Manufacturing; GAL Canada; Hollister‑Whitney; Elevator Controls; Courion; Bore‑Max; Thames Valley Controls; and Vertical Dimensions. Through its brands, Vantage supplies almost all electro‑mechanical devices used in contemporary elevators. The Vantage Group employs over 900 staff in multiple locations across the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Elevator Controls is looking to fill the position of Senior Human Resources Generalist, under the direction of the Senior Manager, Human Resources. The candidate will serve as an administrator for several human resources functions and workforce management, including recruiting, employee/labor relations, health and safety, compensation, benefits, training, diversity, employee engagement, leave and attendance tracking, payroll, and employee records. Facilitates and communicates organizational policies and programs and ensures labor law and regulatory compliance. Provides internal support and partnership to business lines to deliver required human resources. May evaluate, select, and oversee vendors that provide supplemental HR processes and services. Coordinates with HR support staff to process and maintain employment, attendance, and other records. This role will also support four separate business units located in Sacramento, CA; Dallas, TX; and Seattle, WA, as well as three corporate functions, Engineering & R&D, Technical Services, and Product Development.
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or related field; HR certification preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge and practical application of U.S. employment regulations.
Minimum 3–5 years of Human Resources generalist experience with demonstrated ability to resolve complex employee or organizational issues in partnership with key managers at the source, including factory and corporate environments; recognized as a trusted advisor to business leaders.
Experience utilizing HCM systems for talent acquisition (ATS) and talent management purposes (e.g., Paycom, ADP, Success Factors, UKG).
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to persuade and influence all levels of management; effective conflict management experience.
Detail‑oriented and operates with a high level of accuracy and integrity.
Ability to operate in a fast‑paced environment, handling and prioritizing multiple projects/tasks.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
Creative thinker; highly driven and self‑motivated.
Serve as both an advocate for employees and the business, providing objective solutions to support business operations while upholding HR compliance and policy integrity.
Address employee inquiries, grievances, investigations, and workplace concerns.
Partner with managers to identify and resolve employee relations trends.
Lead or support culture and engagement initiatives, including employee events, recognition programs, newsletters, and internal communication updates.
Ensure equity and fairness in recruiting, eliminating systemic barriers and promoting diverse talent attraction.
Oversee sourcing, interviewing, onboarding, and orientation processes to create a positive new hire experience.
Support payroll processing and verification of employee expenses in partnership with HR Shared Services.
Assist employees and managers with timecard entry, corrections, and training on proper timekeeping practices.
Facilitate the identification of learning needs and collaborate with Talent Management to deliver training and development initiatives.
Serve as an active member of the Safety Committee and support ongoing safety initiatives, training, and compliance reviews.
Partner with management to reinforce a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement.
Provide benefits administration support, including open enrollment coordination, new hire orientation, and assistance with life event changes.
Serve as an employee resource for benefit‑related questions and documentation.
Support the implementation and delivery of systematic performance management processes.
Partner with managers to ensure fair and consistent performance feedback and documentation.
Process Personnel Action Forms and maintain employment and attendance records.
Administer exit interviews and track key HR metrics and reports.
Coordinate site communication initiatives, including newsletters, announcements, and employee engagement updates.
Salary for Sacramento, CA Based Applicants: $85,000-$106,000 per year (actual compensation determined based on experience, location, and in keeping with local legislation).
