Project Manager
to join our team!
Guided Design
is a full service design, custom cabinetry and general contractor firm specializing in luxury residential projects in the Chicago area. This unique, hands‑on role is responsible for managing residential renovation projects in the field. The ideal candidate is a skilled tradesperson with a proven track record in project management, capable of leading crews, managing subcontractors, and performing high‑quality construction work themselves. Responsibilities:
Project planning: Develop timelines for residential renovations and remodeling projects. Work with internal team and subcontractors.
Quality Control: Conduct regular site inspections, take pictures and upload to construction management software. Prep and clean job sites. Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications.
Skilled Labor: Perform hands‑on tasks in areas such as demolition, framing, drywall, finish carpentry, etc.
Problem‑Solving: Serve as the primary technical expert for all physical issues at projects, providing efficient and effective solutions.
Qualifications:
Experience: 5+ years of direct experience in residential construction, specifically trade skills such as carpentry, drywall and general remodeling.
Technical Knowledge: In‑depth knowledge of Chicago Building Codes, safety regulations and construction best practices.
Logistics: Must have a valid driver’s license, a reliable truck or work vehicle, and own a comprehensive set of personal tools.
Compensation:
$25.00/hr - $40.00/hr (based on skills and experience)
