About this Unit *THIS POSITION IS OPEN TO CURRENT COLORADO RESIDENTS*

The Food and Energy Assistance Division administers major Federal programs, including SNAP, EBT, FDP, S-EBT, and LEAP, and oversees county operations. The Research, Evaluation, and Data team supports SNAP by reporting, data analysis, program evaluation, and process improvement. The team partners with 64 counties, Health Care Policy & Finance, CDPHE, and the Governor’s Office to advance strategic interoperability and enhance county performance monitoring.

Primary Job Duties

Design, Build, and Manage SNAP Quality and Performance Data:

Own the staff authority for SNAP data, develop and maintain reports across CBMS, FIS, QCS, Rushmore, and other databases, create data dictionaries, and ensure compliance with reporting standards.

Take ownership of SNAP data analytics:

Extract, transform, and load data from DSS01, FIS, QCS, and Rushmore for performance metrics such as APT, RPT, PER, and CAPER. Build dashboards and visualizations using Tableau, TOAD, and Excel to support decision‑making at the state and county levels.

Develop Corrective Action Plans:

Provide data to identify error trends, supply recommendations for CBMS improvements, and support state‑wide corrective action planning.

Other duties as assigned:

Support FEAD and state vision goals, assist with inter‑agency partnerships, and represent the division at external meetings.

Experience Requirements Seven (7) years of experience in data management, reporting, and analysis of large, relational databases. Minimum 2 years of professional SQL development and 3 years of performance management and dissemination. Strong presentation and communication skills required.

Motor vehicle record check – position may drive a state vehicle.

In‑state travel to county offices may be required.

Requires Colorado residency at application time and throughout employment.
