What to Expect This role encompasses development of suppliers, processes, and packages for power electronics applications. The job involves communicating well within and external teams, traveling to suppliers in different regions, and supporting the bring‑up of design and process of a package.
What You'll Do
Work with manufacturers on component development and lead resolutions to achieve mass production.
Lead material characterization and process corner studies with suppliers.
Spearhead root‑cause analysis and permanent countermeasures with the manufacturer, cross‑functional team of engineers, GSMs, and QE, including appropriate mitigation strategies.
Work cross‑functionally with design and reliability engineering teams to ensure the package meets design requirements.
Work with OSATs to bring packaging solutions from concept to production.
Monitor the supplier’s yield very minutely and take appropriate actions to predict and resolve excursions.
Audit, assess and oversee equipment performance and monitor implemented process controls at several suppliers.
Assess supplier PFMEA and manufacturing process controls and drive continuous improvement.
Monitor supplier production capacity (operations management).
Owner of RFQ’s and contract management – ensure NDA, GTC, piece‑price agreements, and other related contracts are negotiated, agreed, and documented before business is initiated.
What You'll Bring
Degree or relevant experience in Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Physics, or equivalent experience.
Understanding of Statistical Process Control, experience enhancing SPC programs, and solid knowledge of statistical analysis.
Experience in failure analysis and material analysis techniques – SEM/EDX, TEM, XRF, XRD, CSAM, spectrum analyzer, etc.
Detailed understanding of JEDEC, AEC‑Q, RoHS, IPC, and other relevant standards and requirements.
Experience with NPI activities for high‑volume manufacturing.
Understanding of applications of Cpk, GR&Rs, and process qualification methodologies.
Experience with PPAP.
Domestic and international travel (expected 25% of the time) to engage with suppliers, sometimes on short notice.

Expected Compensation $85,760 – $197,160/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits.
