Job Summary The Department of Neurology in the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University seeks a full‑time, open‑rank faculty member at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Professor, with a focus on pediatric neurology. The role is a non‑tenure‑track position, requiring the development of a robust clinical practice, teaching, and an independent research program.
Responsibilities
Teach medical student courses, clerkship, and oversee graduate student and trainee programs.
Attend pediatric neurology clinic and inpatient services for clinical duties.
Train pediatric neurology residents, fellows, and medical students.
Develop and maintain an independent, extramural‑funded research program.
Participate in professional, public, and university service; perform administrative and committee work; collaborate collegially with faculty.
Required Qualifications
MD/DO with completion of an ACGME‑accredited pediatric neurology residency or fellowship.
Assistant Professor: Early career; Associate Professor: Minimum five years at Assistant rank; Professor: Minimum five years at Associate rank.
Institutional college, university, or academic medical center faculty employment standards met (including teaching and scholarly activity).
Evidence of teaching ability, scholarly activity, and additional faculty duties.
Passability of personal qualities assessed by interview and references.
Shift/Salary/Benefits Full‑time (1.0 FTE) position. Salary commensurate with experience and rank, subject to available funds. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, paid holidays, vacation, sick leave, retirement plans, tuition waivers, wellness options, and tuition assistance for employees with more than six months of employment. Rank and salary determined at hire using internal and market data.
