Water Resources Engineer – Denver or Glenwood Springs
At Wright Water Engineers (WWE), we’re passionate about improving rivers, watersheds, and communities through innovative water resource solutions. As a Water Resources Engineer, you’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on meaningful projects such as:
Watershed master planning
Floodplain modeling and regulatory support
Mud/debris flow analysis
Stream and river restoration
Fish passage and barrier design
Ditch and diversion structure design
Water quality evaluation and stormwater design
This is an opportunity to apply your skills in hydrology, hydraulics, and design while gaining experience on diverse projects that make a real impact.
Qualifications
At least a Bachelor’s degree in civil/environmental engineering or a related environmental science field
3-7 years of relevant professional experience (this is not an entry-level position)
Proficiency in hydrologic/hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, EPA SWMM) and AutoCAD/Civil3D
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
For engineers: PE license preferred or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification with plans to obtain PE license in the near future
Experience with geomorphology and/or floodplain analysis and permitting is a plus
