We are seeking a proactive and customer‑focused IT Support Specialist with strong experience in Microsoft technologies to join our team. This role is essential to delivering high‑quality technical support across the organization, with a focus on end‑user satisfaction, responsiveness, and hands‑on troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Excel).

Deliver in‑person walk‑up support for hardware/software issues, including laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.

Troubleshoot and support conference room technologies, including Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom setups (AV equipment, connectivity, user access).

Manage user accounts, permissions, and access using Microsoft Entra (formerly Azure AD), Active Directory, and Exchange.

Respond to support tickets via phone, email, and remote desktop tools with urgency and professionalism.

Assist with onboarding/offboarding, including device setup, account provisioning, and access configuration.

Document support interactions, resolutions, and system updates in the ticketing system.

Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to elevate and resolve complex issues.

Educate users on best practices, self‑service tools, and IT policies.

Participate in IT projects such as hardware refreshes, software rollouts, and system upgrades.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Excel).

Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Entra for identity and access management.

Solid understanding of Windows OS and basic troubleshooting techniques.

Familiarity with Active Directory, user provisioning, and group policy management.

Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Zendesk).

Customer Service & Communication

Excellent communication skills with a focus on clear, empathetic support.

Ability to explain technical issues in user‑friendly terms.

Proven track record of resolving issues efficiently and professionally.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a life sciences environment.

Experience supporting hybrid or remote teams.

Familiarity with Intune or other device management platforms.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $33.00 – $40.00/hr.
