Account Director, Client Services As our Account Director, Client Services, you will sit at the intersection of omni-channel marketing, data, and project management for one or more of our marquee Life Sciences accounts. Your role will be to understand your clients’ business objectives and formulate strategies and tactics to bring those goals to life. Your role will also include identifying, leading, and inspiring the right cross‑functional talent in order to produce the desired outcomes. Life Sciences experience and insights will be critical in formulating digital solutions. You will also play a role in creating client roadmaps for long‑term growth and relationship continuity.

Be Accountable and Responsible

Establish credibility with a variety of client stakeholder groups from Marketing, Analytics, IT, and Commercial/Sales orgs within your client organizations

Formulate omni-channel strategies based on client goals across strategy, digital transformation, experience, creative, and front-end/back-end development

Understand how technical platforms and solutions (i.e., Google and Adobe Analytics, SFMC/Marketo, Google Marketing Platforms) can enable client business goals, and be prepared to conduct due diligence on third‑party technologies in partnership with Technology and Experience leadership

Demonstrate ability to manage multiple pieces of business and projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment

Ability to evaluate contemporary marketing and customer experience programs across brands and channels

Grow and diversify client relationships by identifying additional business needs, from brand to communication with a focus on data‑driven marketing, experience design, and innovation

Understand digital marketing trends, and bring innovative ideas and solutions to both MERGE teams and clients

Understand Life Sciences headwinds, tailwinds, and market forces, and help clients anticipate changes in their category and the market at large

Recalibrate marketing strategy based on data‑driven and industry insights

Key Responsibilities Client Services / Business Development / Thought Leadership / Project Management

Collaborate and lead internal and external cross‑functional teams to drive client projects forward

Proactive communication hub, alerting key stakeholders about interdependencies and implications in omnichannel campaign execution

Become a go‑to resource where our client and client partners seek our thought leadership and through that rapport guarantee a greater involvement across all marketing and branding endeavors

Effectively communicate complex data insights to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders

Data and Analytics Stewardship

Take ownership of your client’s data analytics infrastructure to guide their data strategy / BI Roadmaps

Own and maintain a primary data lake for the client, sourcing new data and maintaining legacy data schemas across a variety of Media and Performance data inputs.

Google and Adobe Analytics

Display / Email / Search / Social media platform performance data streams

Interface directly with client as an internal stakeholder to understand their data needs and provide them the right outputs to drive their business decisions

Ongoing data quality control and proactive data cleansing guidance

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in an advertising agency, marketing services, or consulting

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

Life Science Industry experience a plus

Deep understanding of digital strategy and execution across channels

Experience in developing multi-touch, targeted customer journeys – Marketo and CDP experience a plus

Advanced client management and relationship skills, especially as it relates to expanding business within existing clients

Strong proficiency in data analytics / business intelligence / data visualization – SQL experience a plus

Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Domo, Tableau, Qlik, Looker)

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Strong working knowledge of contemporary marketing and customer experience initiatives

Emphasis on building relationships across client departments, from marketing to commercial, to IS, and procurement

Commitment to the client, attention to detail, and strong problem‑solving ability – energized by growing a client business

The salary range for this role is

$98,000–$118,000 , based on the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
