Job Description
Join a high-volume outpatient imaging center as our Medical Receptionist / Patient Service Representative . You’ll be the first point of contact—welcoming patients, managing check-in / out, scheduling, and verifying insurance—while safeguarding PHI and supporting smooth clinic flow.
What You’ll Do
Greet & register patients; confirm demographics, collect signatures, and complete required forms Verify insurance, collect copays / fees , and log payments accurately Answer / route calls ; schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments; notify staff of changes Provide prep / safety instructions and basic facility directions Coordinate with technologists / clinical staff to keep the day on time Maintain EMR accuracy; protect PHI and any on-site medications per policy Uphold professional, culturally sensitive customer service at all times Must-Have Qualifications
MediClear or equivalent HIPAA certification (required) High school diploma or GED Intermediate+ computer skills ; EMR familiarity; fast / accurate data entry Clear verbal / written communication , strong multitasking & prioritization Consistent, service-oriented demeanor; sound judgment in a fast-paced setting Nice to Have
Prior front-desk experience in imaging, specialty clinic, or hospital registration Working knowledge of insurance eligibility and authorizations
