Responsibilities

Hickory Trail Hospital, an 86‑bed behavioral health facility located just south of Dallas, has been providing quality health care to the residents of DFW since 1988. It offers inpatient and day treatment for children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults. The Assistant Director of Outpatient is responsible for managing and directing the activities of patient care in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice, and facility policy, goals, and objectives. This position contributes to the hospital’s philosophy, objectives, educational and quality improvement efforts while providing guidance to program therapists and program interns. The Assistant Director of Outpatient performs the duties of the Director of Outpatient in their absence. Position Summary

The Assistant Director of Outpatient oversees the outpatient program, ensuring patient care meets clinical standards and operational goals. They lead the outpatient therapeutic team, coordinate services, monitor performance metrics, and collaborate with other departments to improve outcomes. This role requires 3+ years of experience in a psychiatric health‑care facility, a Master’s degree in social work or a related mental health field (or equivalent education/experience), and a current Texas LPC, LMSW, or LPC‑A license. Education:

Master’s degree specializing in social work or a clinical related mental health area, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience:

Three (3) years’ experience in a psychiatric health‑care facility. Licensure:

Current LPC, LMSW, or LPC‑A license issued by the State of Texas. Additional requirements:

CPR certification and Management of Aggressive Behavior training within 90 days of employment. Thorough knowledge of JCAHO/HCFA, OSHA, and state and federal regulatory requirements. EEO Statement
