Job Description Our client needs candidates experienced in foundational networking concepts (routers, protocols, etc). Secret clearance and Security+ are required. The role spans various teams focusing on Router/Switch, UC/VOIP, LAN/WAN, Cisco/Juniper routers and switches, satellite communications, etc. Responsibilities involve incident management, monitoring, troubleshooting, and support within a 24x7 environment. Key services include operational engineering, service activations, performance management, configuration management, administration, and security.

Primary Responsibilities

Conduct network incident investigations.

Identify and document network errors and solutions.

Analyze network and telecommunications alarms to identify potential issues.

Configure, test, install, troubleshoot, and maintain network devices such as firewalls, cryptographic devices, routers, switches, and related infrastructure.

Support phone systems, voicemail, voice/video/data circuits, VTC systems, and related telecommunications trunk circuits.

Basic Qualifications

High School Diploma and 1-3+ years of relevant technical discipline (additional experience can replace the degree).

DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent) prior to start date.

Active Secret security clearance.

Ability to work shift schedules for a 24x7 operation.

Experience with alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, performance management.

Experience with routers, switches, crypto devices, routing, DSN/DRSN, GVS, Promina, Cisco, MSPP, optical switching.

General understanding of network topologies (transport and IP).

Skills

Network engineering, router, firewall.

Security+, CCNA Security, CySA+.

Strong written and verbal communication.

Experience Level Entry Level

Pay range: $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
