Overview
Network Analyst role at Jobs via Dice. The client needs candidates who have experience with the fundamentals of networking (routers/protocols/etc). Secret clearance and Sec+ are required for these roles. Several teams exist, some specializing in Router/Switch, UC/VOIP, LAN/WAN, Cisco and Juniper Routers and Switches, Satellite communications, etc. Candidates will be aligned with the team whose requirements best match their skills. Team Missions
TR/IP NOC team: Incident management for a WAN in a 24x7 environment, primarily Layer 2 and Layer 3 support (OSI). Responsible for remote monitoring and management of the WAN using client-provided tools. Document network outages, hazardous conditions, site locations, and any service degradation using the TMS Remedy ticketing system. Perform troubleshooting and fault resolution of voice, video, and data circuits. Serve as liaison between the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and the customer. Other key teams include: JRSS (Joint Regional Security Stack) enterprise system; ESGS (Enterprise SATCOM Gateway Services); Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance operations support; Missile Defense Agency GMD communications network. Other services include operational engineering, service activations, performance management, configuration management, administration and security. Primary Responsibilities
Conduct network incident investigation. Identify and document network errors and solutions. Analyze network and telecommunications alarms and identify potential issues. Configure, test, install, troubleshoot, and maintain network devices such as firewalls, cryptographic devices, and routers to optimize performance and ensure the desired security posture is attained and maintained. Configure, test, install, troubleshoot, and maintain network devices, phones systems (voicemail, switches, infrastructure, call manager systems), Video Teleconference (VTC) systems, and related telecommunications trunk circuits. Configure, test, install, troubleshoot, and maintain network devices (additional items may include lines of network equipment as applicable). Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma and 1-3+ years of relevant technical discipline; additional related years of experience accepted in lieu of a degree. DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent) prior to start date. Ability to work in a 24/7 shift environment. Experience with one or more of the following: alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, performance management. Experience with routers, switches, crypto devices, routing, DSN/DRSN, GVS, Promina, CISCO, MSPP, Optical Switching. General understanding of network topologies, both transport and IP. Currently possess an active Secret security clearance. Skills
Network engineering, Router, Firewall Additional Skills & Qualifications
Sec+, CCNA Security, CySA+, 1-3 years of related experience. Able to work in a 24x7 schedule (day, swing, and mids). General understanding of network topologies, both transport and IP. Strong written and verbal communication skills for delivery of information to customers at all levels. Currently possess an active Secret security clearance; upgrade to Top Secret is a consideration. Shifts: day 7am-3pm, swing 3pm-11pm, mids 11pm-7am; schedule may rotate ~every 3 months with weekend days off. Experience Level
Entry Level Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on job classification and length of employment.
