IN DEMAND Recruitment & Consulting Inc. is currently looking for an experienced and people-focused HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST to join our clients’ U.S. operations team. Supporting a workforce of 100+ employees across multiple locations, this role offers the opportunity to shape the employee experience while managing a broad scope of HR functions—from recruitment and onboarding to employee engagement and benefits.
You’ll collaborate closely with managers and employees to drive HR initiatives that foster growth, safety, and inclusivity. This role reports to the HR Director and partners with an established team of HR professionals.
What You’ll Do: Lead full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for U.S. employees.
Provide clear guidance on HR policies and benefits, including open enrollment.
Act as a trusted resource for employees, responding promptly to questions and concerns.
Partner with managers on performance management and corrective action plans.
Support HR programs that boost employee engagement, training, and recognition.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
Conduct investigations and deliver actionable recommendations.
Keep HRIS records accurate and up to date (UKG experience a plus).
Contribute to safety committee initiatives and workplace safety programs.
Support labor relations and collective bargaining agreement compliance.
Drive special HR projects and continuous improvement efforts.
What We Are Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field.
5+ years of broad HR generalist experience.
Solid knowledge of U.S. employment laws and HR best practices.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficiency with HRIS (UKG preferred).
PHR or SHRM-CP certification a plus.
Experience with labor relations and unionized environments is an asset.
Ability to pass a background check.
Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
Sponsorship is not available for this role. Candidates must be US Citizen or Green Card holder.
Why this is a great opportunity: Competitive salary: $65,000–$90,000 (based on experience and qualifications – open to speaking to those outside of this range)
