Position Summary Tabor Academy seeks a creative and versatile Campaign Content & Communications Specialist to support our comprehensive fundraising campaign. This hybrid role, reporting to the Director of Strategic Marketing and Communications, combines strategic content creation, digital marketing expertise, and collaborative design support to amplify our campaign messaging across multiple channels. The ideal candidate is a skilled storyteller who can translate our school's mission into compelling content that resonates with diverse audiences and drives philanthropic engagement.

This is a temporary, contract position ending in June 2027

Schedule & Work Arrangement

25-29 hours per week

with flexible scheduling options

Hybrid model

: Wednesday/Thursday mornings on campus (required), remaining hours remote or on-campus based on preference

Flexible options

: Work compressed Tuesday-Thursday schedule, or distribute hours across Monday‑Friday based on personal preference and project needs

Occasional evening or weekend availability for campaign events

Quarterly intensive planning sessions

Some travel to alumni events or donor meetings may be required (including evenings and weekends)

Key Responsibilities Content Creation & Storytelling

Develop compelling campaign narratives and donor‑focused messaging

Write engaging content for emails, social media, website, and print materials

Create authentic stories that showcase Tabor's impact on students, faculty, and community

Craft donor communications that inspire action and deepen engagement

Maintain consistent brand voice across all campaign touchpoints

Digital Marketing & Email Campaigns

Design and execute email marketing campaigns using our CRM platform

Create automated email sequences for donor cultivation and stewardship

Develop compelling subject lines, calls‑to‑action, and campaign messaging

Analyze email performance metrics and optimize campaigns for better engagement

Segment audiences and personalize communications for maximum impact

Visual Content & Design Support

Create eye‑catching graphics, infographics, and digital assets using Canva

Develop templates and brand‑consistent materials for ongoing campaign use

Assist graphic designer with print materials during busy periods

Prepare print‑ready files and ensure brand consistency across all formats

Maintain organized digital asset library for campaign materials

Social Media Content Development

Create ready‑to‑post social content that aligns with overall campaign strategy

Develop content calendars tied to campaign milestones and school events

Write engaging captions and develop shareable campaign moments

Collaborate on social media strategy to maximize reach and engagement

Support photo content planning and execution

Project Coordination & Collaboration

Manage multiple projects simultaneously using Basecamp project management system

Collaborate effectively with development team, graphic designer, and external campaign consultants

Ensure timely delivery of all content deliverables

Maintain project timelines and communicate progress regularly

Support campaign events and initiatives as needed

Required Qualifications

3-5 years experience in content creation, digital marketing, nonprofit communications, or education sector

Demonstrated experience working on comprehensive or capital campaigns (multi‑million dollar fundraising initiatives)

Exceptional writing and editing skills with portfolio of diverse content samples including campaign materials

Proficiency in Canva and basic familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign preferred)

Experience with email marketing platforms and CRM systems

Strong understanding of social media best practices and content creation

Knowledge of print production processes and file preparation

Experience working in collaborative, deadline‑driven environments

Understanding of donor psychology and philanthropic communications

Preferred Qualifications

Understanding of generational marketing strategies and audience segmentation

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, English, or related field

Experience with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT, Finalsite, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and Vidigami

Background in independent school or educational institution campaigns

Photography skills and eye for visual storytelling

Experience with website content management and basic SEO principles

Familiarity with analytics and performance measurement tools

Basecamp or similar project management platform experience
