The Golf Course Superintendent is responsible for the overall maintenance, care, and management of the golf course grounds, with a primary focus on the health and playability of the greens. This role requires strong leadership, agronomic knowledge, and hands-on involvement in turf care, irrigation, and grounds team supervision to ensure optimal course conditions for members and guests. Responsibilities

Course Maintenance & Turf Management Plan and execute the maintenance of greens, tees, fairways, roughs, bunkers, and surrounding landscaping. Develop and implement agronomic programs including fertilization, aeration, topdressing, pest/disease control, and overseeding. Maintain healthy turf through soil testing, irrigation monitoring, and proper mowing techniques. Irrigation & Equipment Oversight Oversee operation, maintenance, and repair of the irrigation system. Maintain inventory and ensure proper care of all grounds equipment and tools. Coordinate with vendors for parts, supplies, and service when needed. Staff Supervision & Scheduling Recruit, train, and supervise grounds maintenance staff. Create daily and seasonal work schedules ensuring adequate coverage and productivity. Provide ongoing training in safety, equipment operation, and best practices. Budgeting & Recordkeeping Develop and manage annual turf maintenance budget including labor, materials, and equipment. Maintain accurate records of pesticide and fertilizer applications in compliance with local regulations. Track weather conditions, turf health metrics, and equipment maintenance logs. Course Presentation & Guest Experience Ensure the course is visually appealing and playable at all times. Communicate effectively with the General Manager regarding course conditions and upcoming projects. Respond to player feedback regarding course conditions professionally and promptly. Qualifications

Degree or certification in Turf Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, or related field (preferred). Minimum 3–5 years of experience in golf course maintenance, with 1+ years in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of turfgrass species, irrigation systems, pest control, and course construction techniques. Current pesticide application license (or ability to obtain quickly). Familiarity with golf course equipment operation and maintenance. Excellent leadership, communication, and time-management skills. Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Job Type:
