Title: Superintendent Reports To: Director of Grounds Supervises: Agronomy Team TheSuperintendent is entrusted with the care, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the golf course, practice facilities, and surrounding grounds. This individual will serve as a hands-on leader, responsible for ensuring pristine playing conditions, environmental stewardship, and innovative agronomic practices that reflect the high standards of Shadow Valley and its membership. Responsibilities

Manage the maintenance and care of the golf course and clubhouse grounds, including greens, tees, fairways, roughs, bunkers, and landscaping. Assists in preparing and maintaining the annual golf course maintenance budget and capital plans. Develop and implement agronomic programs for turf grass health, pest control, irrigation, and water management. Supervise maintenance staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management. Conduct regular inspections to identify areas for improvement in turf quality, drainage, playability and aesthetics. Qualifications

2 or 4 year degree in Turfgrass Management or related field Strong knowledge in irrigation systems - operations and troubleshooting. 3+ years of experience as golf course superintendent or 6+ years as led assistant superintendent Experience in the transition zone climate. Thrives and handles high expectations of course and self. Current pesticide license or ability to obtain. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and/or holidays.
