We're seeking an experienced, hands-on Human Resources Manager to support multiple sites within the Cincinnati region. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference by partnering with leaders and employees across diverse, fast-paced environments to promote engagement, consistency, and compliance.

As the HR Manager for the region, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to managers, a champion for employees, and a key driver of a strong, people-focused workplace culture.

What You'll Do

Serve as the primary HR partner for approximately

430+ non-union employees

across multiple field sites, providing strategic and tactical HR support.

Partner with supervisors, managers, and senior leaders to coach and advise on

employee relations, performance management, and workforce development .

Lead and participate in

investigations

(e.g., harassment, theft, misconduct, and policy violations), ensuring fair, consistent, and compliant resolutions.

Support recently acquired teams and new managers as they learn company policies, values, and procedures, reinforcing a culture of integrity and accountability.

Oversee recruiting, onboarding, training, and retention efforts with the support of an

HR Coordinator , ensuring a seamless employee experience from hire to career growth.

Represent the HR function during

corporate orientation sessions

(Mondays, 7 a.m.) every three weeks and participate in regional meetings and events.

Travel regularly (within 2 hours of Cincinnati) to regional sites - including Greenville - to maintain visibility, build relationships, and support site leadership.

Collaborate with the regional HR team and safety partners to address workplace concerns, recommend improvements, and ensure compliance with all employment laws and company policies.

What You'll Bring

Bachelor's degree required

(HR, Business, or related field).

3-5 years of progressive HR generalist or HR management experience , ideally in industrial, manufacturing, waste management or other similar environments.

Proven success in

employee relations, investigations, coaching, and conflict resolution.

Ability to

build trust quickly , balance empathy with accountability, and confidently guide managers through complex HR issues.

Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a high-energy environment.

Experience with

HRIS platforms

(UKG Pro preferred, but open to other systems).

Strong understanding of

employment laws and compliance standards

(EEO, FMLA, ADA, etc.).

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Willingness to

travel up to 2 hours each way

to field sites as needed (average 1-2 days per week).
