Description

Global Reconciliation Utility (GRU) provides a streamlined operating model that delivers a scalable and controlled service offering, supporting reconciliations across the Operations balance sheet globally. GRU supports products across a variety of lines of business, such as Services, Markets, Lending, Private Bank, Wealth, etc. While GRU provides robust ongoing reconciliation controls, it also drives Continuous Improvement across Manual Touch Points (MTPs), Change Management across automation, and provides Completeness Control for balance sheet. Citi is moving to a single Strategic Ledger platform to provide a single source of books and records and streamlined Finance processing and controls. The successful candidate will be part of the GRU’s Strategic Ledger Implementation team. The team performs end-to-end impact assessments of Strategic Ledger migration on reconciliations, ensuring Strategic Ledger provides all required data without compromising reconciliations downstream. This entails reviewing the current reconciliations landscape across Operations Lines of Business (LOB), coordinating with stakeholders to design and map end-to-end processes and flows of transactions/events/journals, and ensuring appropriate impact assessments are completed. The role involves partnership with Change Management, Finance, and other Balance Sheet and Control teams. After the impact assessment, the role will provide requirements to the Strategic Ledger Program (SLP) and oversee the related recon rebuild/update to preserve data points and reconciliation integrity while minimizing Manual Touch Points (MTP). During implementation, participate in working groups, testing, analysis, and migration success. The candidate is a professional who stays informed of developments within their field and contributes to directional strategy by applying this to their job and the business. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required to guide and influence others, particularly colleagues in other areas. They provide advice related to the technology or operations of the business, and their work impacts an entire area and overall organizational performance. Responsibilities

Lead and perform impact assessment of the Finance’s Strategic Ledger migration on reconciliations and associated Balance Sheet and Control functions (e.g., balance sheet completeness controls and Balance Sheet Exception Reporting (BSER)). Partner with GRU’s stakeholders across Operations and Finance, among others. Perform data analysis ensuring completeness of the impacted scope. Map end-to-end process/transaction flows with migration impact assessment as the target. Ensure Strategic Ledger implementation aligns with the Enterprise Target Operating Model and standards. Work closely with reconciliation production support teams to ensure all requirements are captured and met to maintain reconciliations’ integrity. Prepare and document requirements, communicate them to the Strategic Ledger Program for incorporation, and ensure requirements are met or an acceptable alternative is in place. Oversee and participate in testing of the implementation. Track and report progress updates with clear metrics; oversee reporting on escalations and status updates. Ensure issues are reported, profiled, and escalated appropriately. Identify risks impacting project delivery and develop mitigation strategies when necessary. Create and manage project milestones with associated business goals; organize tasks and deliverables accordingly. Lead facilitation, coordination, and arbitration of cross-functional macro-level topics within and across the project. Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) representative of reconciliations and provide guidance to stakeholders and the team; serve as a strategic partner. Participate and drive strategic efforts to reduce Manual Touch Points; apply big-picture and strategic thinking. Collaborate with Technology teams to ensure enhancements and fixes are submitted, tested, and released; apply understanding of reconciliations while partnering with reconciliations teams. Analyze issues in detail and validate with a proactive approach to coordinate resolution. Apply knowledge of reconciliations and balance sheet substantiation to suggest resolution steps where applicable. Influence decisions through advice, counsel, and facilitation in the area of specialization. Apply creative thinking and problem-solving to remediate discrepancies individually or with teams. Understand how areas integrate with each other and provide value-added perspectives for new techniques and change-the-bank initiatives. Demonstrate adherence to Citi’s principles and values and assess risk in business decisions to safeguard Citi and its clients and assets. Escalate, manage, and report control issues with transparency. Other duties as required to meet business needs. Qualifications

10+ years of experience. Strong understanding and experience in operations reconciliations of balance sheets across a variety of asset classes. Strong understanding/experience in Balance Sheet/Ledger Substantiation processes upstream and downstream. Business/data analysis skills. Experience in ledger system migration efforts is highly beneficial and preferred. Experience and understanding of end-to-end flows across settlement processes within operations functions is very important. Project management skills with the ability to prepare decks/updates; PM qualification/certification not mandatory. Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills. Ability to work to a high level of accuracy; strong analytical skills with the ability to recognize issues and escalate timely. Experience in Change Management or equivalent functions. Self-motivated and proactive with strong organizational and time management skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal skills to influence across teams and levels. Education

Primary Location: Tampa, Florida, United States. Primary Location Full Time Salary Range: $130,880.00 - $196,320.00.
