Company Overview SDP is a private‑equity backed dental support organization (DSO) that provides affiliated dentists across the Southwest, Mountain, and Pacific Northwest with proven non‑clinical business support services such as human resources, pay‑or relations, group purchasing, vendor management, capital investments, staff management, recruiting, finance, marketing, and information systems.
Job Summary Responsible for completing activities related to general ledger and accounting reconciliations and analysis within company set deadlines. Responsible for understanding and following accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial information. Responsible for helping to complete year‑end audits and/or other audits throughout the year.
General Responsibilities
Assist with the recording of practice revenue and refund reconciliation.
Process and/or oversee balance‑sheet reconciliations, and prepare and/or process related journal entries including accounts receivable, prepaids, intercompany, accounts payable, accruals, payroll and expense accounts.
Assist with the completion of company credit card transaction accounting.
Assist with the completion and accuracy of Concur expense reports.
Assist with lease accounting using third‑party lease software.
Monitor, research and analyze accounting data as needed for preparation of financial reports or statements.
Obtain year‑end audit backup.
Uphold accounting accuracy by following a complex chart of accounts and multi‑location/multi‑entity structure, following and enhancing accounting policies and procedures.
Assist with the preparation, filing and payment of various business taxes.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and professional activities.
Offer support to other accountants.
Continuously review and offer recommendations for modifications to current accounting procedures.
Assist Assistant Controller, Controller, and/or CFO with special projects as needed.

Job Qualifications
Education – Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related business field.
Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
Advanced skills – MS Office/Excel, complex accounting; ability to manipulate and analyze data.
Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, internal controls.
Strong interpersonal skills, highly organized, accurate, thorough, high level of attention to detail; ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with all levels of the company.
Demonstrates a “whatever it takes” attitude, strives to continuously build knowledge and skills; shares expertise with others; treats people with respect, works ethically, and demonstrates integrity.
