Responsibilities As a Production Controller (Aircraft), GS‑1152‑9, you will:

Analyze the allocated Flying Hour Program (FHP) and support aviation units’ logistics capabilities and training requirements.

Develop maintenance plans to maximize AASF services and maintain aircraft readiness.

Develop and coordinate schedules of aircraft and flight hours, integrated workload schedules and priorities.

Use the Aircraft Notebook ACN to manage AASF logistics operations.

Serve as the contact point between Logistics Manager, Supervisory Maintenance Test Pilot and work centers.

Coordinate Maintenance Test Flights (MTF) and Maintenance Operational Checks (MOC).

Publish maintenance plans and schedules, collect and process data, and submit relevant reports such as DA Form 1352 and Unit Status Reports.

Maintain historical documentation and current AASF logistics capabilities.

Interface with AASF Logistics, Flight Operations, Training, USPFO, NGB, AMCOM, AVCRAD, state and supported units.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Conditions of Employment

National Guard membership is required. Verify eligibility with a recruiter before applying.

The position requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state’s National Guard, prior to the effective date of placement.

Applicants must wear a military uniform.

Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes agreement to these conditions.

Non‑members must be eligible for immediate National Guard membership at the required grade.

Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must be registered for Selective Service.

Background investigation required for federal employment suitability.

Probation/trail period of 1–2 years may be required to assess performance, conduct, and agency needs.

Direct deposit is mandatory.

Conviction of a qualifying domestic violence crime may disqualify the applicant.

Qualifications Military Grades:

Enlisted (E4–E9) or Warrant Officer (WO1–CW2)

Minimum Requirements:

Demonstrated quantitative reasoning, clear oral and written communication, and understanding of repair operations terminology and data.

Specialized Experience:

At least 24 months of experience preparing job or work orders; scheduling in production facilities; monitoring work progression; arranging adjustments in materials, machine processes, and sequencing; inputting data into automation programs; tracking repair parts.

Education Graduation certificates must be submitted to verify educational claims. Provide transcripts to support eligibility.
