Regional Project Finance Manager

to join our team in Meridian, ID.

Primary Function Regional Project Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing revenue recognition and project financial tracking within the company, ensuring accurate reporting and profitability analysis. Key duties include managing the project accounting team, guiding them through budgeting, forecasting, and revenue recognition processes, while maintaining a focus on team development and internal controls. The position also involves working with the ERP system for project enrollments, maintenance, billing cycles, and receivables management, as well as assisting with audit support and acquisition integration. Effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders is essential, along with active participation in company-wide initiatives aimed at continuous improvement and quality assurance.

Candidate will also assist finance team, operations and management with other initiatives as needed.

Reports to: Director – Project Finance.

Responsibilities / Accountabilities

Manage revenue recognition.

Serve as a resource to Management, Operations and Finance staff on revenue cycle performance.

Work with Operations and Project Accounting Team to conduct project/group/practice profitability reviews each period and as needed to validate earnings.

Identify, track and report on projects in financial distress.

Investigate variances between actuals and budgets.

Track and report on KPIs/financial trends for all projects.

Assist with monthly close journal entries, reconciliations, and other analyses.

Assist with project/group/practice budgeting, forecasting, and developing estimates.

Supervise project accounting team: interview, hire, train, assign work, resolve complaints, mentor, establish internal controls, cultivate a team‑oriented environment.

Oversee project financial tracking within company ERP systems: enrollments, maintenance, client reviews, vendor reviews, closeouts, billing and invoicing cycle, receivables tracking and collections, complex analysis of projects/vendors/clients.

Aide the acquisition integration team in project accounting and revenue recognition, including ERP conversion and financial reporting.

Work with external auditors and assist with audit requests.

Provide internal and external customer service: communicate effectively with staff, management, vendors and clients.

Participate in company‑wide initiatives such as quality assurance and continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Minimum Experience – High School Diploma and 10+ years’ experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years’ experience in project accounting with a primary focus on revenue recognition.

Strong initiative, attention to detail, analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Strong communication skills, able to work with employees, vendors and clients across offices.

Capability to work independently, self‑starter, adaptable.

Hardworking and able to balance multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, particularly Excel.

Availability for occasional travel as needed between offices.

Capable of handling highly sensitive company data with confidence.

Demonstrate leadership qualities, excellent organizational and time‑management skills.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in engineering, construction, or professional services industry in a high‑volume environment.

Familiarity with ERP systems: Deltek Vision, Vantagepoint and Ajera.

Ability to collaborate with team members to achieve high quality work products.

Advanced Excel experience preferred.
