We are currently seeking a full‑time
Commercial Furniture Designer
to join our team in Virginia Beach (this position is not remote). In this role, you’ll partner closely with Sales Executives, Operations, and clients to develop creative design concepts and deliver functional, high‑quality commercial interiors. You’ll be hands‑on throughout the design and project process—from concept development and space planning to product specification and installation support.
What you get to do. You’ll collaborate with Sales Executives and clients to develop design concepts, select furniture and finishes, and create detailed space plans. You’ll prepare design drawings, specifications, and product packages, and assist in client presentations. Responsibilities include verifying field measurements, conducting site visits, preparing installation drawings, and attending project meetings to coordinate with electricians, data teams, and installers. You’ll also review specifications for accuracy, maintain thorough product knowledge, and ensure exceptional client service throughout each project.
The Requirements.
We’re looking for a process‑focused, creative designer with a very high attention to detail.
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture required.
Proficiency in CAD, CET, SPEC, or 20/20 software preferred.
Strong knowledge of commercial furniture lines, interior construction, and applicable codes (fire, building, ADA, environmental).
Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
NCIDQ, CID, or IIDA certification is a plus.
Must be comfortable working in‑person at our Virginia Beach showroom; collaboration is key to our company culture.
