Talent Assistant (Music‑Focused Nonprofit Events) Organization: One805

Location: Santa Barbara • Hybrid (Minimum 10 hours in office per week)

Compensation: $20–$25 / hour • Approx. 20 hours per week (flexible schedule)

Position Summary The Talent Assistant supports the Event Manager and CEO in securing top music talent, building persuasive collateral, and coordinating communications with donors, managers, and artists. This is a hands‑on, creative position for someone who loves music, understands artist relations, and is inspired by One805’s mission to improve the mental well‑being of Santa Barbara County’s first responders.

Support the CEO and Event Manager in coordinating events, artist outreach, and donor communications for One805 Live.

Responsibilities

Support the Event Manager and CEO with event logistics and coordination

Research and track artists, managers, and agencies; maintain outreach records

Prepare pitch materials and correspondence for talent and management teams

Edit short videos (Final Cut Pro) for artist and donor presentations

Assist with donor and talent communication and follow‑ups

Work in the Santa Barbara office at least 10 hours per week; remaining hours may be remote

Qualifications

Strong administrative and organizational skills

Proficient in Final Cut Pro, Canva, and Google Workspace

Organized, detail‑oriented, and professional

Motivated by music, storytelling, and community impact

Event planning and coordination skills

Excellent relationship‑building and communication skills

Detail‑oriented with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively

Operating knowledge of contract administration and logistics

Experience in a nonprofit or event planning organization is a plus
