Role Overview The Member Service Representative’s primary responsibility is to assist members in meeting routine financial goals while exceeding their expectations for service. The role involves performing routine account transactions, cross‑selling various products and services to meet member needs, and researching and resolving member account questions and concerns.
Key Responsibilities
Receive and process member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan and VISA payments, check cashing, wire transfers, and coin machine transactions.
Cross‑sell deposit, loan, and convenience services appropriate to each member, both in person and via mail or telephone.
Use problem‑solving skills to research member account questions and concerns.
Perform other daily, weekly, and monthly routine tasks such as maintaining cash drawer, verifying cash shipments, and auditing gift cards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Performance Measurements
Deliver friendly, professional service and greet members by name.
Complete transactions accurately and efficiently, following policies and dual‑control procedures.
Resolve member questions and internal inquiries in a timely, friendly manner.
Maintain attendance records and participate in training and professional development.
Essential Functions Percentages
40% – Receives and processes member transactions.
30% – Cross‑sells services.
15% – Uses problem solving to research questions.
10% – Performs routine tasks.
5% – Performs other duties.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience: 1–3 years in customer service, cash handling, sales, or banking.
Education: High school diploma or GED.
Interpersonal: Well‑developed communication skills.
Computer: Ability to operate a computer and perform basic math.
Work Environment
Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
State of Pennsylvania residency required.
Part‑time, 20 hours per week, Monday through Saturday availability required.
