Software Engineer – Accounting
Location: San Francisco, CA – Hybrid (Remote + On‑site)

Job Description Join a small, highly‑talented, and fun‑loving team to enhance our industry‑leading enterprise investment accounting system – Geneva – that serves the accounting needs of the hedge fund, fund administration, asset management, and prime brokerage space.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with product managers to translate business requirements into robust technical designs; present and analyze alternatives and identify the most desirable solution.
Build incremental features from the product roadmap while taking ownership and applying agreed‑upon design tenets into the existing codebase.
Seek out design and code reviews to maintain high quality; participate in Agile Scrum methodology.
Effectively manage personal time and communicate plans and status to stakeholders; keep short and long‑term projects moving forward.
Required Qualifications
BS degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
2+ years’ experience in object‑oriented programming using C++ and/or C#; experience with enterprise‑wide, large‑scale systems development is desirable.
Familiarity with Unix/Linux systems (RHEL platforms).
Commitment to software development processes that promote high standards.
Strong collaboration and communication skills across cross‑functional teams.
Excellent problem‑solving skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under time constraints.
Knowledge of financial instruments and industry (especially back‑office operations) is preferred.
Experience with bug tracking and Agile tools such as JIRA and Confluence is helpful.
Willingness to collaborate across time zones.
