Sioux Falls, SD Compensation:
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
What you'll do as the Enrollment Specialist:
Accurately update and maintain claims system data according to defined enrollment system guidelines, policies, and procedures Implement HIPAA and COBRA requirements to ensure legal compliance Monitor receipt and processing of daily/weekly/monthly transaction files from CMS, FFM, third-party vendors, and employer groups (both self-funded and fully insured) Oversee delegated vendors handling enrollment transactions (additions, changes, terminations, ID cards) Download, log, and reconcile electronic enrollment files from various FTP or web platforms. Audit enrollment data for accuracy; identify and correct errors, perform root cause analysis, and implement improvements Collect and transmit CMS-required data elements for enrollment and disenrollment of beneficiaries per CMS guidelines Verify group and member setup accuracy in the claims system to ensure correct claims processing and billing Research and resolve enrollment discrepancies, track recurring errors, and report findings. Complete error resolution for electronic eligibility discrepancies and maintain documentation
What you'll bring to the Enrollment Specialist role:
High School diploma or GED required 1-3 years of related experience and/or training required Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered Strong attention to detail and data accuracy Working knowledge of HIPAA, COBRA, and CMS eligibility guidelines Proficient with claims/enrollment systems and related software Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively in a team environment
