*Project Engineer*
_Responsibilities:_
* Apply knowledge of engineering principles and practices to serve as Markosky’s technical lead for Post-Construction Stormwater Management Design. This individual will serve as Markosky’s lead PCSM designer and will be expected to mentor junior staff in this technical discipline. * Perform and/or guide design activities for stormwater management and roadway/site drainage using CADD software * Perform and/or guide hydrologic analyses * Lead staff in preparation of NPDES permit applications. * Perform and/or guide design activities for erosion and sediment control plans using CADD software * Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates * Act as task leader for the design activities described above and mentor less-experienced engineers * Manage and oversee task budgets and assist with project pursuits and scoping * Review plans for technical compliance with engineering standards and environmental permitting requirements * Occasional on-site field work, including testing, construction oversight, and data gathering
_Job Requirements and Qualifications:_
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
* Working knowledge of CADD, including MicroStation and AutoCAD, with a focus on 3D grading using AutoCAD Civil3D and Open Roads Designer * Stormwater basin modeling experience using HydroCAD, VTPSUHM, or similar * NPDES Permitting (PA, OH, and WV specific knowledge preferred) * Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams, etc.) * Knowledge of engineering principles, design standards and codes, including but not limited to the PA Stormwater Best Management Practices Manual (2006), PA Post Construction Stormwater Management Manual (draft), PA Erosion and Sediment Pollution Control Program Manual (2012) required. * Working knowledge of WV Stormwater Management and Design Manual (latest edition), PennDOT Publication 584 (latest edition), ODOT Location and Design Manual Volume 2 (latest edition), and WVDOT Design Directive 506 (latest edition) a plus * Ability to work independently * Strong organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience:
* 6 + years of engineering experience * Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred * Preferred experience in transportation industry (State DOTs, PTC, etc.)
Education:
* Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or approved equivalent
Training (licenses/programs/certificates):
* Professional Engineer License (Preferred)
