Job Summary

The Human Resources Generalist will deliver a broad range of HR services that support the operational and strategic goals of the Colville Tribal Healthcare Authority. This non‑exempt position provides guidance in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, HR policy, and compliance, acting as a trusted advisor to leaders and team members.

Compensation and Schedule

  • Salary: $27.85 to $33.92 per hour (DOE)
  • Reports To: Director of Human Resources
  • Location: Colville Tribal Healthcare Authority, Nespelem, WA
  • Employment Type: Full‑time
  • Seniority Level: Entry level

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, psychology, or related discipline, or equivalent combination of higher education and experience.
  • Experience: Minimum two (2) years in a human resources function.
  • License: Valid Washington State driver’s license.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Effective written, verbal, and non‑verbal communication.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Analytical skills to compare data and identify trends.
  • Ability to be fair, consistent, honest, and unbiased.
  • Initiative and proactivity in meeting HR objectives.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit and stand for long periods.
  • Manual and finger dexterity to complete duties.
  • Ability to frequently bend, stoop, reach, push, and pull.
  • Ability to comprehend complex issues.
  • Adequate vision and hearing to handle written materials and conversations.
  • Ability to drive in adverse weather conditions.

Upon hiring, this safety‑sensitive position is subject to pre‑employment drug testing and reasonable‑suspicion and post‑accident testing.

Tribal member and Indian preference will apply; preference will also be given to honorably discharged veterans who are minimally qualified.
