About the Role
The Union Janitor plays a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within the Atlanta PDC facility. The janitor will be responsible for routine cleaning tasks as well as addressing any immediate cleaning needs that arise throughout the workday. Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred but not required.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures.
- Physical capability to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed.
Preferred Qualifications

Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal in all assigned areas.
- Sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and common areas to maintain hygiene and comply with health regulations.
- Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring proper maintenance and reporting any malfunctions.
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper in restrooms and other designated locations.
- Respond promptly to cleaning requests and emergencies, such as spills or other hazards, to maintain a safe environment.
- Collaborate with union representatives and facility management to adhere to established cleaning protocols and schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities and report any facility maintenance issues or safety concerns.
