American Welding and Gas, THOROUGHBRED DIVISION has an immediate opening for a Class A Delivery Driver at our Waller, TX location. This position is responsible for loading, unloading, moving and storing gas and liquid cylinders and other hard good supplies; making deliveries to customers or other branches and filling out delivery tickets completely and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Out-of-town routes, requiring 3-4 overnight stays per week. Hotels provided. Home on weekends. Evening meal per diem provided.
• Use company vehicle to deliver products and equipment to customers in a safe and courteous manner.
• Pick up returns at customer place of business.
• Read, understand and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
• Comply with all DOT/OSHA regulations.
• Move, load, and unload empty/full cylinders safely and efficiently.
• Ensure accurate completion of paperwork including shipping papers and delivery tickets.
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Class A CDL with HAZMAT endorsement.
• Clean driving record for 3+ years.
• Able to read and write English.
• Successful completion of DOT pre‑employment drug‑screen and physical, and company‑administered road test.
• Able to move compressed gas and liquid cylinders.
• Lift 50–75 pounds frequently and maneuver 100+ pound cylinders (rolling, using a cart, etc.).
• Comfortable using computers.
• Ability to communicate with customers.
