Head of Commercial Operations Neurotech Pharmaceuticals, Inc. invites applications for the head of commercial operations role located in Needham, Massachusetts. This position is not a remote or hybrid opportunity and reports to the Chief Commercial Officer.

Overview The Head of Commercial Operations is responsible for developing and leading Neurotech’s commercial operations capabilities, focusing on optimizing the execution of our field forces. Initial responsibilities include partnering with vendors to implement and roll out key commercial infrastructure such as CRM, LMS, and data warehouse, providing insights and analytics capabilities, and dynamic targeting/alignment of specialty field teams. The role partners with executive leadership and commercial leaders across marketing, market access, and strategic accounts.

Location Needham, Massachusetts. This is not a remote or hybrid opportunity.

Responsibilities

Lead the Commercial Operations function and oversee sales operations, including commercial customer‑facing force sizing, alignment, targeting, customer mapping, territory metrics, and customer analytics.

Manage commercial data management systems, data warehouse, field reporting, field incentive compensation, and business analytics.

Drive market research projects to support the brand strategy, including vendor selection and management, design, execution, and interpretation of market research studies.

Partner with Commercial stakeholders to drive strategic decision‑making based on insights.

Design, build and operate CRM and master data warehouse to support all commercial and launch business processes.

Drive field team effectiveness through territory planning, performance tracking, development and delivery of customer engagement, and sales enablement tools.

Oversee field team needs assessment and training in collaboration with the business owners.

Manage marketing operations to ensure timely review of promotional materials and congress and conference organization, amongst other workstreams.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred.

Minimum 10 years of experience within biotech/pharmaceuticals (retina/ophthalmology preferred), with recent focus in commercial operations leadership.

5+ years leadership in commercial operations with previous direct experience in relevant functions (e.g., incentive compensation, sales operations, market insights, and analytics) as well as systems oversight.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Proven expert in commercial operation functions.

Launch experience for rare indications and retina/ophthalmology experience preferred.

Strong collaboration and influencing skills.

Must be comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.

Demonstrated leadership ability building high‑performing teams.

Ability to generate, quantify and analyze data in creating appropriate solutions for field teams and marketing optimization.

Experience selecting and overseeing external vendors and outsourced partnerships.

Strong ability to engage and motivate people and have the managerial courage to make and stand by difficult decisions.
