Summary This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. Eligible applicants must meet specific VHA policy requirements and submit an EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants are ineligible to apply.
Major Duties
Provide care to approximately 12‑20 outpatients daily in an outpatient setting, including diagnosis, care, treatment and consultations to other services when requested.
Responsible for all facets of acute patient care.
Assist in completing quality management reviews.
Maintain computer literacy with required electronic medical documentation skills.
Achieve applicable performance measures and monitors within the area of responsibility.
Participate actively in peer review and complete physician reviews on time.
Work Schedule Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.

Proficiency in written and spoken English.
Background/security investigation necessary.Completion of online onboarding and provision of acceptable identification (REAL ID compliant).
Pre‑employment physical examination.
Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program.
Probationary period may apply.

Qualifications Basic Requirements
United States citizenship; visa holders only if no qualified citizens are available.
Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from a VA‑approved school (LCME or COA). The degree must have been earned in the year it was awarded.
Current, full and unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state, territory, Commonwealth or the District of Columbia.
Completed resident training in an ACGME‑approved core specialty leading to board certification, or an equivalent program.
For residency outside the U.S., a minimum of five years verified practice in the United States combined with specialty certification must be demonstrated.
Preferred Experience
A board certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine or another recognized specialty board.
Experience in family medicine or internal medicine; tele‑work and computer literacy desirable.
