Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join our team as a Secretary at Alcona Elementary. This full-time position is essential for maintaining efficient office operations and providing administrative support to staff, students, and parents. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities
- Manage the front office, including greeting visitors, answering phone calls, and responding to inquiries in a professional manner.
- Maintain accurate records, including student attendance, enrollment, and other essential documents.
- Assist in scheduling appointments, meetings, and events for staff and administration.
- Prepare and distribute communication materials, such as newsletters, announcements, and reports.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages, ensuring timely distribution.
- Support the administration in managing budgets, purchasing supplies, and maintaining inventory.
- Assist with student registration and enrollment processes, providing necessary information to parents and guardians.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to school policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure smooth daily operations and address any administrative needs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the administration.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher preferred.
- Proven experience as a secretary or in a similar administrative role, preferably in an educational setting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software applications.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of school policies, procedures, and regulations is a plus.
- Must pass a background check and comply with all state and federal employment regulations.
